Connecting with Nature for Emotional Wellbeing

Our Blogs

Earth Day

How the confinement of the last year or so has made us reevaluate our physical and emotional space more than ever.

Most definitely the confinement has tested our capacity to adapt to change and to appreciate what we have. We are learning more than ever how important it is to connect with the outdoors. With Earth Day approaching, it is a good time to remind ourselves of the value of nature for our emotional wellbeing.

We are fortunate enough to live in a place where there is great light, green spaces ,animals and water. It has been proven connecting with nature positively improves mental health. Experiencing nature in some sort of way alleviates stress, relaxes the mind and the body, has a calming effect, decreases depression and anxiety as well as improves focus and creativity.

By now we know the benefits are enormous, so it is important to incorporate nature to our daily routines by finding activities to practice consistently. We can also bring into our physical space a piece of nature by letting the light come in and growing plants or putting flowers in a vase. Our mother Earth is a gift for our mental health.
