Celebrating Earth Day!


In light of stay at home orders, celebrating Earth Day may be somewhat of a challenge for us this year. We may find ourselves frustrated from being in quarantine, however, getting in tune with nature is still possible. In fact, we highly encourage it!

Research has proven that even the smallest bit of nature can promote health benefits. Being in nature, or even viewing scenes of it, can help reduce feelings of anxiety, stress and fear.

If you need an escape with nature, look closely around your home and get connected. Do you have a small plant inside your home that you can appreciate? Maybe a window or balcony where you can find a tree in your neighborhood? Even looking at pictures or videos online are positive to your mental health. Be present in the moment and mindful of what you are seeing or hearing.
